Contaminated Land Capping

A fundamental problem exists in the UK. The conflict between the sustained demand for land development coinciding with the rapidly diminishing availability of greenfield sites.

Combine this with the Government's ongoing policy of encouraging public and private sector investment into the development of brownfield Sites, and you guarantee that the redevelopment of contaminated land will continue to increase to satisfy this demand.

Enviro Technical Systems can assist in this development with the installation of suitable geomembranes prior to development on the contaminated land.

The primary considerations for the selection criteria for a gas resistant geomembrane under a structure are survivability and buildability rather than its theoretical 'p' value. The ability of a gas resistant geomembrane to withstand damage during placement and installation is largely determined by the material properties, in particular tensile strength, puncture, abrasion, resistance, tear resistance and UV resistance.
